The Knights that say "Ni", the invincible Knight, and other small sketches make the film work

Some of the not-so-funny gags go on a bit too... long

Monty Python is very British, very classic and very funny. No matter what, there’s always something that makes me chuckle, and you can relive it. I still have a few classic sketches from the original series that I love and make me laugh out loud still to this day. So, with their first full feature, it’s classic Python added with sketches and a storyline.

All six of the Pythons are amazing in their roles, whichever they play. King Arthur goes on a quest to discover the Holy Grail, as per God’s request, with his fellow knights Sir Bedevere the Wise, Sir Lancelot the Brave, Sir Robin the Not-Quite-So-Brave-As-Sir-Lancelot, the aptly-named Sir Not Appearing in This Film, and Sir Galahad the Pure. Each knight takes a unique quest away from the group but teams together to finally try and find the Holy Grail.

Each Python brings a little bit extra into the film, but I feel the one that gives line after line that is hilarious is John Cleese. His French knight, to Lancelot, to the number of other characters, he definitely shines outright. Michael Palin plays his smaller roles better than the main ones. And the best gag is actually just because of budget constraints, but who has ever rode a horse with coconuts?

All comedies have their moments of funny one-liners, interesting social takes, and the fact that a witch must weigh the same as a duck, epic. Whatever background you’ll take something from this and chuckle! Monty Python is the best of British, and thoroughly funny throughout!
